Troodos Mountains
The tour begins with a visit to the village of Pera Orinis, located on the Troodos Mountain range in the Nicosia district. We will then stop off at the copper quarries and the Xyliatos reservoir. Next, we’ll proceed to the highest points on the island for some spectacular views.
After that, we’ll continue to a series of small traditional villages, where we’ll stroll through the narrow streets, marvel at the ancient architecture and taste some local delicacies. We’ll visit a unique old church with frescoes depicting biblical stories and then head to a beautiful waterfall, where the water is very cold but enjoyably refreshing. The tour includes a lunch break at a family-owned restaurant in a traditional village. Lunch will incur an additional charge, by personal reservation.
Earth and Water – Jeep Tour and Cruise to the Blue Lagoon in Ayia Napa
The tour begins with a drive to the beautiful and ancient St. Epiphanios church and then on to the Love Bridge, which was created naturally by the waters off the rocky coast. The bridge is arch-shaped, with one end stretching into the clear turquoise sea. It has become the quintessential spot for lovers and especially for engaged couples.
From there, the tour will continue off-road toward the famous sea caves of Ayia Napa and then on to the Cape Greco National Forest Park for a short hike to the edge of the mountain with a spectacular panoramic view of the island. We’ll also stop at a hidden cave once used by the church and currently serving as a cool and shaded rest area for divers.
Then it’s off to the marina, where we’ll board a boat for a three-hour cruise, sailing along the eastern coast off Famagusta with a beautiful view of the northern part of the island, including a
stop for a swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Blue Lagoon. We will also pass by the district of
Varosha and its abandoned hotels before heading back to the marina. The cruise includes a
barbecue lunch.
Authentic Villages and a Beautiful Secret Lagoon
First on our itinerary is a traditional café in a small village where several little surprises await us. During the winter months, we will make a morning stop at Lake Oroklini, frequented by flocks of migratory flamingos. Our off-road route continues up into the mountains for a spectacular view and a stop at an 17 th century church. From there, we’ll head toward a magical hidden lagoon, which can be reached only by 4×4 vehicles.
Then we’ll proceed to the village of Fikardou, which has become an open-air museum over the years, winning an award in 1987 from Europa Nostra for the preservation of antiquities. We’ll have lunch in the village at a taverna owned by a local family. Next, the tour will proceed towards the mountain peaks, passing through the village of Lefkara, known as the village of the embroiders, where we’ll explore the picturesque streets and local shops, including an optional coffee break. Lunch will incur an additional charge, by personal reservation.
Cape Greco – Sea Caves (4 hours)
The tour includes a visit to the southern side of Famagusta Bay, adjacent to the eastern side of
the Ayia Napa National Park. The hidden caves, natural bridges and small churches combine to
create spectacular sights and an unforgettable day. The tour includes a swim around the cave
area. Drinks and light meals will be available for purchase throughout the tour.
